Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
Overview
Snappier IPTV ("the App") is developed by Snappy Code. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
The App does not collect or transmit personal data to our servers. Specifically:
- We do not collect your name, email, or contact information through the App.
- We do not track your viewing habits or browsing behaviour.
- We do not use advertising SDKs, and we do not profile you. Crash and error reporting is used to diagnose faults — see Third-Party Services.
- We do not sell, share, or rent any user data to third parties.
Data Stored Locally
The App stores the following data locally on your device:
- IPTV playlist URLs and login credentials you provide for your IPTV providers.
- App settings, favourites, and viewing progress.
- User profiles and parental control PINs.
With Cloud Sync switched off, this data stays on your device. With it on, see the section below for what is synced.
Cloud Sync (Optional)
If you enable Cloud Sync, your playlists, settings, favourites and viewing progress are synced through Firebase or Supabase so they are available on your other devices. Playlist entries include the login details you entered for that playlist, so those are included in the sync. The data is stored under your own account. Turn Cloud Sync off and nothing leaves your device.
Third-Party Services
Some services are used only at your request:
- TMDB — for movie and TV series metadata. No personal data is shared.
- OpenSubtitles — for subtitle downloads. Requires your own account if used.
- Trakt.tv — for watch history sync. Requires your own account if used.
- Services you add yourself — IPTV providers, WebDAV shares, and Snappier Server if you run one. The App connects to the addresses you enter, using the credentials you supply.
Others are part of how the App works:
- Google Firebase and Supabase — sign-in, and syncing your data between your devices when Cloud Sync is on.
- Firebase Crashlytics and Sentry — crash and error reports, so faults can be diagnosed. Used for diagnostics only, never for advertising or profiling.
- RevenueCat — for subscription purchases and checking what your subscription entitles you to.
Please review each service's privacy policy for their data handling practices.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
